{"id":33,"date":"2011-02-05T15:18:47","date_gmt":"2011-02-05T20:18:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paulandrach.com\/?page_id=33"},"modified":"2011-02-10T22:58:12","modified_gmt":"2011-02-11T03:58:12","slug":"work-with-pct","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/paulandrach.com\/?page_id=33","title":{"rendered":"WORK WITH PCT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The work of the Peru Children&#8217;s Trust is divided into 2 main areas, a <a href=\"http:\/\/paulandrach.com\/?page_id=121\">Training Centre<\/a> (which also houses <a href=\"http:\/\/paulandrach.com\/?page_id=251\">Production Areas<\/a> and a <a href=\"http:\/\/paulandrach.com\/?page_id=261\">Medical Centre<\/a>),\u00a0which includes a sewing workshop and a chef school, and work with Families in extreme poverty, with a particular concern for child education. As well as contributing to the overall management of the work, Paul is involved in both these areas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He is working with the management of the \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/paulandrach.com\/?page_id=121\">Training Centre<\/a> to help it\u00a0become financially sustainable and legally recognised. He has also written and is giving 4 different courses on Business Start-Up to the students, based on learning through practise, rather than listening to theory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He is also responsible for a number of projects with the families. A survey he conducted in 2010 showed that the families suffer from some problems more than others and that those problems are often\u00a0debilitating.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In response to these findings, Paul has written and is teaching a course on Basic Money Management and has set up a Savings Scheme (&#8220;Programa Manzana&#8221;) for the families to use.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He is also currently working to help 18 families have access to decent water and sanitation, through a Toilet Project and is working with 5 families in one community to improve their diets<br \/>\nand nutritional knowledge through a pilot Home Gardening Project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The work of the Peru Children&#8217;s Trust is divided into 2 main areas, a Training Centre (which also houses Production Areas and a Medical Centre),\u00a0which includes a sewing workshop and a chef school, and work with Families in extreme poverty, with a particular concern for child education.
